About 70 participants were present at the University of Oulu, where the Ecosystem Day was held on 21 February 2018.
Oulu is well known as a centre of innovation, world-class expertise in health and communications technologies as well as its unique OuluHealth ecosystem. Last Ecosystem Day focused on the contribution of bioresearch to the development of new clinical practices in future preventive healthcare as well as on digital treatment pathways and the way they will change.
This event was a perfect opportunity to hear the latest news from the health and life science sector in Oulu, network with other participants, share insights of future health solutions and have a closer look at health solutions presented at the company stands. In addition, the program featured interesting keynotes, for example, from Pirkko Mattila, Minister of Social Affairs and Health as well as a number of panel discussions. The participants also visited the OuluHealth Labs, an authentic test environment for product and service development at Oulu University Hospital.
The next important event in the health sector in Oulu will be Health DemoDate on 18 April. The event will be built around the Future Hospital concept. Demo Date will see health companies, professionals and health enthusiasts gathering to discuss future solutions for healthcare.
