Take a look at the platform that supports civilians fleeing the war in Ukraine and provides all relevant information about seeking protection in Romania

Anybody fleeing Ukraine can enter Romania through any of the official border crossings.

Ukrainian nationals carrying any valid passport can enter Romania on a short stay status for 90 days and ask for asylum either immediately or at any later point during their stay. Those who want to apply for asylum at the border point can enter Romania without documents.

On this platform created by Code for Romania in partnership with the Department of Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the UN Refugee Agency, the International Organization for Migration and the Romanian National Council for Refugees civilians fleeing the war in Ukraine can find all relevant information about seeking protection in Romania.
