Welcome to the Future- An event about the advanced approaches to personalised health (Report)

On September 10, HealthDay.si and Roche Slovenija organized the Welcome to the Future event in Cankarjev dom, which showed in terms of content and technology that we can also step forward bravely in healthcare.

The hybrid event,  which took place live both in the hall and online, as well as with 360 ° transmission in virtual reality,   featured prominent global leaders in their domains of activity, namely Jure Leskovec, associate professor of computer science at Stanford University, Marinka Žitnik, assistant professor of biomedical informatics at the Harvard Medical School, Mark Lee, oncologist and global leader in personalized treatment at Genentech / Roche, and Bettina Ryll, founder of the European Melanoma Network, and as an active listener, doc. dr. Marko Pokorn, expert director of the Pediatric Clinic of the University Medical Center Ljubljana and Lenart J. Kučić, journalist.

The event was moderated by Tjaša Zajc, the welcome speech was given by Nicole Arming and Jernej Pintar, the director of Roche Slovenia and the director of the Technology Park Ljubljana respectively, and the event was musically and artistically enriched by Janez Dovč.
