On 29th November 2022, the Societal Impact of Pain (SIP) Platform, hosted a virtual event with over 130 registrants entitled “Pain in the International Classification of Diseases (ICD11)”.
Held on 29 November, SIP’s ICD-11 event brought together experts in the field opening up an engaging and insightful discussion on:
• 2022 SIP Road Map Monitor,
• The impact of ICD-11 on pain management,
• The patient perspective on digital health and ICD-11 implementation,
• Opportunities and efforts for ICD-11 implementation within the WHO European Region.
The event also benefited from key national experts and representatives from a national government.

The ‘Societal Impact of Pain’ (SIP) platform is a multi-stakeholder partnership led by the European Pain Federation EFIC and Pain Alliance Europe (PAE), which aims to raise awareness of pain and change pain policies. The platform provides opportunities for discussion for health care professionals, pain advocacy groups, politicians, healthcare insurance providers, representatives of health authorities, regulators, and budget holders.
