The Hellenic Digital Health Cluster (HDHC) is a cluster organization focusing on the exploitation of digital health innovations in Greece. It was founded in March 2021 in Athens. It is the dynamic initiative of the Foundation for Research and Technology Hellas (FORTH), the largest research centre in Greece, and includes 31 innovative and dynamic companies of the digital health ecosystem in Greece.

HDHC contributes at strengthening the resilience of the Greek digital health ecosystem providing support initiatives and networking and striving to position Greece at the forefront of the global health market. HDHC builds the innovation capacity of its members, especially SMEs, by providing or channelling specialised and customised business support services and upskilling. HDHC boosts access to global supply and value chains as a facilitator of strategic partnering across international clusters.

HDHC’s strategic focus encompasses a diverse range of health-related domains, positioning Greece as a frontrunner in the global digital health landscape. Their scope includes but is not limited to Health Informatics, smart health solutions, medical devices, artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics, Internet of Things (IoT), telemedicine, and mobile health (mHealth). By converging these areas, they aim to not only drive innovation but also address critical healthcare challenges through cutting-edge technologies and processes. Bridging the gap between academia, research and the industry world, our work focuses on facilitating the adoption of processes and technologies reinforcing transformation and digital economy enhancement.

Being a cluster organization, robust networking and active community engagement are at the core of their operations. Consequently, they seek to bolster their expanding capacities by fostering collaborative partnerships and cultivating a diverse membership base. They aim to elevate the quality of services we offer while also forging alliances with stakeholders involved in pioneering projects. Moreover, their overarching objective is to position the Greek digital health ecosystem as a trailblazer in innovation on regional, national, and international fronts, thereby catalyzing transformative advancements in the field. In essence, they look to the ECHAlliance community to support their endeavors by providing opportunities for meaningful collaboration, sharing insights and best practices, and fostering an environment conducive to continuous learning and growth.
