The Health Service Executive of Ireland joins forces with ECHAlliance Network of International Digital Health Ecosystems

Today, the Health Service Executive of Ireland (HSE) and the European Connected Health Alliance (ECHAlliance) announced a new partnership around the Digital Health Ecosystem in Ireland to concentrate in the following five areas:

  • The Ireland Digital Health Ecosystem will join the ECHAlliance network of 70 + international geographic digital health ecosystems.
  • The Ireland Digital Health Ecosystem will become involved within the new network of Thematic Innovation Ecosystems.
  • The HSE will become a supporting partner of the Global Health Connector Partnership and participate in the three thematic priorities on Health Inequalities, Skills and Data.
  • The HSE and ECHAlliance will collaborate in joint initiatives on the opportunities within the Recovery and Resilience Funds both within Ireland and across the other 26 Member states of the EU.
  • ECHAlliance will actively promote the Stay Left Shift Left approach across the ECHAlliance community.

In announcing the new partnership, Chair of ECHAlliance – Brian O’Connor said ” We have watched with great interest the accelerated progress in Digital Health in Ireland .Our longstanding relationships there enable us to connect those efforts to our Global Network and we look forward to practical steps on the Shift Left ,Stay Left strategy ,we know many of our Global communities are interested “ 

Martin Curley from the HSE Digital Transformation announced that ” Organizations are no longer the unit of competition – it’s all about the ecosystem – to progress and learn fast it is important to be connected to a global network of health ecosystems. We can all learn and improve faster together which will mean health benefits for every citizen and shared value through better wellbeing, welfare and economic wealth
