Over 189,000 people are benefiting from engaging in social prescribing services through Elemental and nearly 20,000 GPs, Discharge Nurses, Community Development Workers, Housing Officers, Council Customer Care Workers, Practice Managers and Hospital OTs and Physios are making referrals for individuals to social prescribing programmes. We’re looking to support even more people now the system integrates with Rio electronic patient record for mental health.

We’re happy to welcome 17 new customers to Elemental over the first half of the 2022 and delighted to say that 13 customers have renewed the contracts continuing to choose Elemental as their digital social prescribing partner since January 2022. Also thank you to everyone who shared our new roles within Elemental! We found our additional Product Owner, Software Developers and new Customer Onboarding Executives to continue to grow our business and support even more people.

Elemental now integrates with the Rio Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system for mental health, which means that Clinicians and others using Rio can make and manage referrals to community hubs and Social Prescribing Link Workers. By making this initial referral they’re enabling their patients to improve their mental health and wellbeing outside of the clinical setting. This can be done in tandem with clinical intervention or the referral can be made at the end of a clinical case to ensure that the patient is well supported when moving to a community based approach to their mental health and wellbeing. Clinicians get the added benefits of monitoring outcomes and referring to quality services, but also it frees up their time to spend more of their day in clinical appointments, meaning more clinical time with the same clinician workforce. More clinical time results in more effective reduction of the deficit as well as more efficient services with an ever-increasing demand.
