Digitalization has increased the need for social and health care organizations to change their service structures and adopt new technologies as part of their processes. This has opened up new positive possibilities, but also created new challenges. To tackle these challenges, it’s important to identify the most crucial support needs, future plans and barriers of adopting digitalization in social and health care.
In 2021, Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences (SeAMK) approached this issue and completed a survey study regarding digital services and digitalization support needs in South Ostrobothnia, Finland. 124 organizations/individuals replied. Now, as a partner in the Horizon EU project “CONNECTINGHEALTH“, our aim is to compare these results with experiences from digital health ecosystems in Europe. The gathered information from this survey will be used to set up recommendations for different stakeholders to improve the adoption of digital solutions in social and health care.
