The I-Solation project, an innovative collaborative initiative aimed at tackling unwanted loneliness in the elderly population, has reached a significant milestone during its recent meeting at the Segura de Baños Spa in the Province of Teruel.

Under the coordination of the Aragon Health Cluster (Arahealth) and the participation of Cluster SIVI, Fundación Personas, Fundación Santa María la Real, Universidad San Jorge, Ariño Hotel Balneario, and Futuro y Vida Silver, the consortium met to advance its mission to use artificial intelligence (AI) and digitalisation in the fight against unwanted loneliness.

Technical Approach and Amaia’s Presentation

The opening day included a detailed review of the technical and administrative issues by the Arahealth team, followed by an in-depth presentation of the project’s research approach and the methodological design of the study. Valuable time was devoted to the presentation of “Amaia App”, the technological solution of Futuro y Vida Silver, exploring its adaptability to the specific needs of the project. In addition, the ecosystems of the participating partners and their potential role in the initiative were also explored.

Definition of the Action Plan and Timetable

The second day focused on reviewing the action plan and coordination of the project. All consortium members actively participated in working tables, contributing key ideas and perspectives. The implementation schedule, milestones and commitments for each partner were reviewed, with a view to the effective implementation of the proposed solutions.

Data Collection Methods and Future Improvements to Amaia App

One of the focal points of the discussion was the definition of data collection methods by the users of the “Amaia App”. A variety of approaches were explored and adapted to the individual situations of the end-users. The congruence and reliability of this data were highlighted as crucial elements for the construction of a robust database that allows for continuous improvements in the application and the integration of artificial intelligence.

The meeting at the Balneario de Segura de Baños marks a significant step in the fight against unwanted loneliness, consolidating the intercluster collaboration between Arahealth and Clúster SIVI as a national benchmark in the search for innovative solutions to improve the quality of life of the elderly population.
