Last week’s European Summit on Innovation for Active & Healthy Ageing in Brussels saw the convergence of 2,000 policy makers, established industrial players, innovative start-ups, investors, health and care organisations, civil society organisations, public procurers and global leaders coming from the EU, Japan, USA, Canada and other regions.
This year’s event focused on how digital innovation will “Transform the future of health and care in Europe” and unveiled a shared-vision on how the Digital Single Market can turn demographic change into an opportunity for social development and economic growth in Europe.
A key feature in the Summit Programme was a Speakers’ Corner, organised by ECHAlliance, showcasing 20+ European SMEs and projects with highly innovative product/ service developments for health, connected care and wellbeing. These quick and snappy presentations demonstrated real-life examples of digital transforming healthcare and the audience gained a valuable insight into these exciting developments. The full Speakers’ Corner Programme (speakers, organisations and link to slides) is available for reference on Connector here.
