Paudel has commented: “I am excited to be starting my MSc in Health Policy, Planning and Financing (MSc HPPF) at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, U. of London and the The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), two of the world’s leading institutions in public health and social science. My journey from a rural village to the heart of London reflects my deep passion for contributing to health systems. Starting as the in-charge of a grassroots-level health post, I progressed through various roles, contributing to community, local, provincial, and national policy, planning, and strategy development in Nepal. This allowed me to gain firsthand exposure to how global health policies and programs can be effectively translated into local contexts, adopting the philosophy of “Think globally, act locally.” I now look forward to deepening my understanding of global health dynamics and health policies, exploring how local health practices can shape global systems—the concept to “Think locally, act globally.” My acceptance into this prestigious program represents a significant milestone in my academic and professional journey. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported me throughout my journey. I thank my supervisors, mentors, referees, family members, friends, well-wishers & @followers for their support and for pushing me to grow both personally and professionally. I thank to the Chevening Awards and LSHTM/LSE for this incredible opportunity. Let’s continue to lead with purpose, passion, and a commitment to improving health for all.”
