PULSE at the Canadian-European Conference for Digital Health conference held in Ottawa, Canada

PULSE project was presented on Canadian-European Conference for Digital Health conference held in Ottawa, Canada. Milan Vukovic, from BELIT, focused his  presentation was held in the section of the conference programme dedicated to SME Highlights for EU Markets. PULSE was presented as a tool to transform public health into individualized service and the speech included general information about Pulse project, describing its goals, target population and pilot sites. It was highlighted that project will harvest open city data, clinical data and data from satellites, fixed and mobile sensors as well as population models of chronic diseases. Further on, spatio-temporal analytics and sensory integration was described with mention on risk assessment, participating citizens, Web GIS and satellite data, pollution, micro-climate, visualization tools.

Canadian integrated Health Alliance aims to improve patient outcomes by connecting key stakeholders in government, academic medicine and industry. Trade officials, medical innovation and business representatives from Ontario and Quebec provinces were interested to see about PULSE goals and objectives related to risk models, sensor systems and mobile devices as medical prevention together with strong environmental improvements are very important topics in Canada. It is worth mentioning that Serbia became an ecosystem in European Connected Health Alliance, so PULSE presentation was on the spotlight from that direction as well.
