The Region of Southern Denmark is working on the Regional Innovation Strategy 2023-2026 and sought inputs from the regional ecosystem. We invited regional representatives from general practitioners, educational institutions and the Danish Life Science Cluster to a workshop where they could provide their take on what would strengthen the innovation collaboration in our region. The Regional Innovation Group, consisting of representatives for each hospital unit in the region, also participated in the workshop, as the Regional Innovation Strategy work is anchored in this group.
Among many important inputs were:
Involving the ecosystem partners is one step in a long-term, inclusive approach to co-creating the Regional Innovation Strategy. Each hospital unit in the region has also involved their local employee committees, patient-relative associations and existing innovation departments.
On 17th May each hospital unit presented the challenges and needs that they had collected locally to the Forum of Regional Directors in the Region of Southern Denmark, for a discussion on the Regional Innovation Strategy.
The next step will be a joint strategy conference on 9th June hosted by the Digitalisation- and Innovation Committee. This conference will bring together regional council politicians, managers, employee- and patient representatives etc. to discuss key focus areas for the future Regional Innovation Strategy.
