Gravitate-Health is excited to announce its Hackathon set to run from January 17th to 19th, 2024! This event is primed to address the pressing challenges surrounding personalized medication information.

At the core of the project lies the goal of empowering patients by offering comprehensive insights into their treatments, achieved through tailoring essential data to individual preferences and contextual needs.

🌍 Where Will This Event Take Place?

Set within the ‘Athens Digital Health Week’ conferences, the Hackathon will unfold as a hybrid event, hosted at the esteemed Royal Olympic Hotel in Athens, nestled close to the iconic Acropolis. This remarkable event is part of a larger gathering where global experts convene to exchange insights and practices in the realm of digital health.

While Gravitate-Health is excited to welcome in-person participation, we also extend an enthusiastic invitation to remote attendees, encouraging individuals or teams from far-flung locations to join us virtually and contribute their innovative ideas.

The Aim: Elevate Health Management Across Europe

Stepping into 2024, the Gravitate-Health project strives to empower Europeans by providing accessible health information through its federated open-source platform (FOSP). The imminent Hackathon presents a golden opportunity for enthusiastic participants to not only test and refine the FOSP but also lend their creative genius to its development.

Exploring the Hackathon Challenges

Challenge 1 propels participants into the realm of customizing patient information by annotating electronic product information (ePI) with semantic annotations. The primary goal? To flexibly adapt content to individual patient contexts and preferences. Here, innovative minds will harness cutting-edge natural language processing (NLP) techniques.

Meanwhile, challenge 2 tasks participants with the design of G-lenses—specially coded modules—crafted to visually represent medical information in alignment with varying health contexts and preferences. These dynamic lenses, coded in Java Script, will elevate content presentation without tampering with regulated ePI content, catering ingeniously to the diverse needs and conditions of users.
