Estonian start-up and Connected Health Cluster’s member Triumf Health is, in the wake of the current situation, launching their updated solution called Triumf Hero in Ukrainian. The updated version is available free of charge.

Triumf Health is developed with the purpose of offering children age appropriate psychological and health behavioural support. The updated health game Triumf Hero is helping children cope with different day-to-day situations and is equipped to support children with traumatic experiences in order to support their development. The CEO of Triumf Health, Doctor of psychology Kadri Haljas said, that children’s mental well-being has taken a big hit, affecting especially the children of refugees:

“These children have lost their homes, social networks, normal routine and unfortunately more often one or even both parents. This is a situation that is almost incomprehensible for a child’s developing brain.”

This is why Triumf Health has decided to give out the updated version in addition to Estonian, English, Swedish, Finnish and Russian, also in Ukrainian.

Triumf Hero helps children, with the help of a supporting animal side-kick, handle their emotions, day-to-day situations as well as manage anxiety and prevent the development of mental health issues: “We designed a side-kick to our game environment because we want to make sure no child feels alone in their worries. In addition to all the features of the game, all of the solutions effects have been measured scientifically and are demonstrably effective. Children need this kind of support, especially now.”

In addition to supporting children of refugees, the solution is also supporting the children still in Ukraine, as well as all other children from all over that might need this kind of support. This is why in addition to Estonia, the game is also downloadable free of charge in Ukraine, Poland, Hungary, Moldova, Romania and Slovakia.

“We decided to give out our updated solution free of charge with the help of our partners to help all the children that need this kind of support right now. We thought it is important to have the solution available in each of the countries that refugees are potentially ending up in. In addition to that we also want to support the people living in the countries next to the war zone, as well as the Russian speaking population of Europe, who also need mental health support right now. We want to contribute in the best way we know how, and since we believe in our solution and its benefits, we feel that having our solution out free of charge is the only right decision in this situation,”

said the Doctor of psychology.

Triumf Health game solution and environment is created by Triumf’s team of psychologists in cooperation with health care experts. Games are based on a scientific algorithm that creates a safe environment for the children in age 7-12 in order to support their behavioural development, ease stress and help to cope with anxiety and other emotions.
