Digital HealthPartnerships (DHP)was created in 2016. The organization – based in France – focuses on scaling digital health in lower- and middle-income countries where access to healthcare still presents access challenges. Digital health can improve people’s lives by increasing access to healthcare services and health information, especially in environments where health infrastructure and access to health workers are scarce

DHPs core mission is to support building multi-stakeholder partnerships between private sector, public sector and civil society around digital health and universal health coverage. These partnerships are built on a shared value / social innovation approach. Global corporations have a growing opportunity in bringing their core technologies, products, services, and competencies to form alliances with NGOs, social entrepreneurs, foundations, governments and international organizations. These alliances help develop sustainable business models which can then be easier to scale and replicate across regions and markets.

To accomplish this mission, DHPs activities have expanded into projects such as:

  • Advocating through reports (such as the UN Broadband Commission), events and articles for policies and solutions to scale digital health
  • Supporting private sector, NGOs and social entrepreneurs in scaling strategies for digital health
  • Advising governments, international organizations, donors and development agencies on national digital health strategies

DHP’s founder built her interest and expertise in digital health over 10 years. She began while working as International Director for Government Affairs for Alcatel-Lucent & Nokia, where she developed a shared value strategy and co-developed partnerships for mobile health in Africa and Mexico to address diabetes, obesity with the government and multiple partners from private sector and civil society.

DHP believes in collective impact and intelligence and has built an international team of partner consultants and advisors focused on global digital health (based in Germany, India, Africa, the Netherlands, Geneva and Singapore). Depending on projects and initiatives, members of this team of experts join forces as appropriate to bring the most effective and impactful support.

Since 2016, DHP has been advising various organizations such as the Novartis Foundation, Digital Connected Care Coalition, PATH, Praekelt, FHI360, H4D, Abt Associates Inc., the ITU & WHO, the Broadband Commission as well as various governments and development agencies.
