Enhancing Antibiotic Management with Digital Tools

Digital Health Solutions
Projects

Digital tools can contribute to antibiotic management by employing several mechanisms, ensuring more accurate, efficient, and personalised antibiotic treatment. Several tools are already implemented, some others running in pilots, and future technological developments hold even more promise.

Examples of tools currently available include mobile apps that deliver educational content about antimicrobial resistance to healthcare professionals and the public, improving everyone’s knowledge about antibiotic use; telehealth platforms that allow patients to consult their doctors from the comfort of their homes, reducing unnecessary antibiotic prescriptions; and artificial intelligence software that helps to detect infections earlier, allowing a personalised treatment plan to be prepared more quickly and accurately.

The courses created under the AMR EDUCare project will incorporate these digital options.

Please visit the project website and register to be notified when the courses are available.
