As a contribution to the NHS COVID-19 response, Credentially worked collaboratively with the NHS Covid Clinical Assessment Service (CCAS), a national body established by NHS England and South Central and West Commissioning Support Unit to mobilise clinicians.
Credentially were asked by NHS England to set up our software to process GPs, including retirees, paramedics, dentists, and other health professionals to build an emergency Covid workforce in a matter of days.
In less than a week, we had remotely analysed and digitised the sign-up, verification, and onboarding process for CCAS which allowed them to process applications automatically.
Due to restrictions around face-to-face meetings, the Credentially team were able to train a team of over 40 NHS managers and administrators on how to use the system entirely remotely.
Within three weeks, a technology-enabled recruitment process had been implemented supporting CCAS to recruit thousands of GPs, Paramedics and AHPs at a far greater rate than had been possible previously. With the timescale for hiring clinical staff averaging 128 days across the industry this clearly demonstrates the positive impact and efficiencies that technology can provide to healthcare providers.
