Augnito is the first Indian organisation to introduce Ambient technology to the international healthcare market. By combining this innovative technology with generative AI capabilities, Augnito intends to revolutionise clinical documentation, streamline administrative duties, and equip physicians with unparalleled levels of efficiency and accuracy.

Augnito, a voice AI solutions provider, aims to leverage its position as a pioneer in the industry as it becomes the first Indian organisation to introduce ambient technology to the international healthcare market. By combining this innovative technology with generative AI capabilities, Augnito intends to revolutionise clinical documentation, streamline administrative duties. And equip physicians with unparalleled levels of efficiency and accuracy.

Augnito’s ambient technology not only enables physicians to effortlessly document patient encounters and generate documentation and data, but it also addresses the pressing problem of physician burnout. In Western countries, the adoption rates of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) are already high. However, the current systems in use have directly contributed to extensive workloads for physicians, rather than alleviating their burden. Healthcare professionals spend nearly half of their time on administrative tasks such as charting, data input, and report generation. Augnito aims to significantly reduce this burden with its ambient technology, and if possible, eliminate it entirely.

This is how the technology operates: The ambient technology app is activated on the doctor’s smart device. During a standard consultation, the doctor engages in a natural conversation with the patient, maintaining full attention. In real-time, the AI transcibes the entire conversation with complete precision. Subsequently, the AI utilises the unstructured conversation to generate a well-organised SOAP note. This note encompasses chief complaints, medical history, diagnoses, recommended treatment plans, prescribed medications, follow-up appointment details, and other relevant information.

‘At Augnito, we keep healthcare professionals at the core of all our operations. Currently, operating an EMR requires specialised knowledge and is usually substantially time-consuming. It involves manual navigation of several menus and fields. With our ambient technology, the data is automatically structured and input into the corresponding segments. We are essentially giving back the chance to healthcare providers to focus exclusively on their patients’ said Rustom Lawyer, Co-funder and CEO, Augnito, while talking about the launch.
