Association of Healthcare Providers (AHPI) is a not for profit organisation and is registered as SOCIETY under the Society Registration Act of 1860. Association of Healthcare Providers (India) represents the vast majority of healthcare providers in India working as “not for profit” organisation and advocates with the government, regulatory bodies and other stake holders on issues, which have bearing on enabling its members organizations to deliver appropriate healthcare services to community at large.
The association functions through an empowered secretariat at Delhi and Bangalore which facilitate the member organisations in improving the systems, processes and outcomes on continuous basis. Health being a state subject . AHPI has created 20 functional state chapters with empowered executive committee which educates its members and guides them for the issues and challenges pertaining to healthcare.
Our vision is to have a healthy India, encompassing society, community and common man at the grass root level with the mission to work with all stake holders in establishing a national system where common man avail assured universal access to basic health services. AHPI also created a FORUM of individual members, where leaders/ managers can network and learn from each other, besides being collective voice for interaction with stake holders including government and civil societies.
The FORUM shall create avenues for collaboration with institutes of eminence, nationally as well as internationally in the field of leadership and help members recognized as leaders par excellence and change makers in supporting and strengthening the delivery of quality health services in the country. The membership of AHPI Leadership FORUM includes but not limited to healthcare professionals working in the domain of clinical and non-clinical administration including doctors, nursing professionals, healthcare entrepreneurs, young medical and public health students and allied healthcare workforce from operations, human resource, quality, supply chain, IT, finance, marketing, pharmacy, facility management, guest relations etc.
AHPI educates its members and focus on policy advocacy with the government, regulators and other stakeholders, training and capacity building under the aegis of AHPI Academy, promoting Digital Health amongst its members, collaboration with national and international healthcare industry stakeholders, publications and Research, skilling, up-skilling and re-skilling of healthcare workforce and facilitating their recruitment through National Skill Development Cooperation (NSDC) and NSDC International for overseas recruitment of healthcare and allied healthcare professionals.
AHPI has played a pivotal role in healthcare reforms and facilitated several policy changes impacting all the sectors of healthcare be it operational policy- on health, taxation, tariffs, costing, reimbursements etc . AHPI collaborates closely with key stakeholders, namely the government and society, to achieve the goal of universal health coverage. AHPI strives to assist member organizations in complying with applicable regulatory and other requirements pertaining to infrastructure and manpower, commensurate with the type of facility, whether it be a teaching hospital, a tertiary/secondary care hospital, or a clinic. Our organization guides them in adhering to the minimum clinical protocols for patient safety. AHPI also serves as a communication hub, disseminating information to its members regarding national and international developments that may impact Indian healthcare providers.

- Networking and collaboration opportunities: ECHAlliance provides a platform for not-for-profit organizations to network with each other and collaborate on projects. This can help our organization to learn from each other and share best practices.
- Advocacy and support: ECHAlliance advocates for the interests of not-for-profit organizations at the European and global level. This can help our Association for Healthcare Providers (India) to influence policy and secure funding.
- Training and capacity building: ECHAlliance offers a variety of training and capacity building programs. These programs can help our organization to develop the skills and knowledge we need to succeed. In addition to these specific needs, our organization also need the ECHAlliance community to be a strong and supportive network. The more vibrant and engaged the ECHAlliance community is, the better it will be able to meet the needs of its members.
