Last year, Barcelona Health Hub, Col·legi de Metges de Barcelona (CoMB), EsadeBan and Barcelona Activa launched the 1st edition of the E-Health Investment Forum, a unique, and specific, space for investment in digital health. The event was held with great success: 50 startups applied, 10 pitches selected and more than 700 participants.
Every year, a call is launched to target health tech entrepreneurs leading disruptive projects. After receiving startup applications, an evaluation panel composed of different experts from the health and investment sector chooses a shortlist of the most promising startups. The selection process, based on the startup technology readiness level, its market opportunity and the team experience, offers investors a great quality deal-flow opportunity.
This 2nd edition of the E-Health Investment Forum will focus on Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare. Startups working on software and algorithms for diagnosis, personalized medicine and treatment protocols, drug development processes and patient monitoring are invited to apply. We are looking for projects with the potential to transform how healthcare is delivered, empowering healthcare professionals, improving patient experience and healthcare output.
Startups will be selected in 2 categories: pre seed/seed (up to 1 million) and growth (more than 1 million). Investors from the Spanish/Catalan ecosystem as well as international investors actively investing in digital health will be present. This edition, EIT Health will join to help us connect the European startup ecosystem.
The forum will be held on September 28th, 2021 at 4pm, in English, in a hybrid format. Selected companies will be able to pitch physically and online.
