The 4th Africa Healthcare Awards and Summit (AHAS 2024) was successfully held in Accra, Ghana, at the prestigious Accra International Conference Centre from April 22nd to April 23rd, 2024. Organized by Zenith Global Health In Partnership with African Global Health, this event brought together healthcare professionals, policymakers, innovators, and stakeholders from across Africa to discuss major issues in the healthcare sector.
Under the theme “Advances in Population Health – Tackling Inequalities and Access: A One Health Approach,” AHAS 2024 provided a dynamic platform to explore innovative and sustainable solutions to healthcare challenges in Africa.
The summit was marked by enriching panel discussions, inspiring keynote presentations, and interactive sessions. Topics covered included healthcare financing, manufacturing and supply chain management, community engagement, and the crucial role of technology in improving healthcare access and delivery.

At the 4th Africa Healthcare Awards and Summit (AHAS 2024), participants engaged in thought-provoking discussions during the plenary sessions, addressing pivotal aspects of healthcare in Africa. Plenary 1, themed “Population Health – Addressing Access and Equality,” featured sessions on “Human Resource for Health and Health Technology: Bridging the Gap” and “Access to Primary Care – Harm Reduction.” These sessions explored strategies to ensure equitable access to healthcare services and promote community well-being. Plenary 2, titled “Uniting against Climate Change and AMR: One Health Approach for Climate Resilient Health Systems in Africa,” emphasized the interconnectedness of climate change, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), and healthcare resilience, advocating for a holistic approach to address these challenges. These discussions underscored the collaborative efforts needed to advance healthcare and build resilient health systems across the continent.
