Montse Fernández Chimente, Cluster Manager at SIVI – Innovative Solutions for Independent Living, answered some questions about our Spanish ecosystem based in Castilla y León. Welcome onboard Castilla y León Health Ecosystem!

Who are the key stakeholders?

SIVI Cluster is an innovative strategic cluster with a synergistic nature, composed of entities representing different links in the value chain in the field of providing socio-sanitary services to dependent individuals, including:

  • Public administrations
  • Technology hubs and universities
  • Tech companies
  • Service providers and final user representatives

Our billing volume of private partners is €486,125,141.08 and our associated employment volume is 28,484 people.

What are the main objectives of your ecosystems?

The Cluster of Innovative Solutions for Independent Living (SIVI) is a key player in promoting dissemination, increasing knowledge and aligning the different players in our community and outside of it. Excellent work networks are maintained at the regional level with various entities and Clusters in the health environment, as well as at the European level.

It is the only cluster in the health sector with a powerful representation of the area of social services, the field of dependency and care as spaces to deploy the great potential of person-centered technology, thereby contributing to social development and economy of the territory.

The SIVI Cluster works to make new and better services available to the entire care ecosystem that are supported by a digital transformation process that complements and facilitates professional care.

Its main objective is to improve the quality of life of people in a situation of dependency through the application of innovative solutions with a high technological component and to stimulate and promote the competitiveness of the sector.

Why did you join the ECHAlliance Network of Ecosystems?

We joined the ECHAlliance Network of Ecosystems to be able to participate in a community committed to connect with other ecosystems and working groups within the EU and other regions, and the possibility to engage in global projects. By participating in ECHAlliance, we are seeking to disseminate our skills and capacities to a wider audience as well as looking for potential partners to foster national or cross-border projects. We hope to learn, share, collaborate, co-produce, and together with others make life better for others.

Who is missing from your ecosystem in terms of stakeholders?

Our aim is to extend our network outside regional and national borders. We are looking to develop sustainable partnerships with all categories of international stakeholders, such as SMEs, large companies, universities, municipalities, hospitals, NGOs or patient representatives or associations.

Which ecosystems are you looking to collaborate with?

We are open for any collaboration, especially with ecosystems and working groups related to health and social care sector (private and public), technology developers, researchers, civil societies and patient groups.
