The COMPASS initiative aims to promote the continuous development of professionals in positions of leadership, coordination and management of care for older people, in an institutional environment, with a view to improving leadership skills in the adoption of person-centred measures and care. As part of this initiative, the Digital Community of European Good Practices for Care Managers is launched, which includes a Repository of resources and a Discussion Forum (in English). In 2024, the Community of Practice will launch a series of webinars (online sessions, in English) to share knowledge and good practices in the adoption of person-centred care and its adjacent challenges. You can follow the Digital Community of European Good Practices and register as a user at the following link: https://leadingcare.eu/community-of-practice/
The Webinar Cycle “Community of European Good Practices for Care Managers” appears within the scope of the COMPASS initiative , co-financed by the European Commission in the Erasmus+ Program, in which APROXIMAR is a partner entity.
A European Community of Good Practice is a group of people who share a common concern, set of problems or an interest in a topic and who come together to achieve individual and group goals.
In the case of COMPASS, the focus will be on leadership for the PCC, support for care managers, reflection models, challenges and support measures, new trends and policies at EU level. The development of this European Community of Good Practice will allow for a shared understanding and vision in developing a European community identity and network for care managers.
During the months of April to July 2024, 4 sessions will take place , with an average duration of 1 hour and 30 minutes , which focus on different topics that impact the day-to-day lives of care managers who are leaders in the adoption of person-centered care. Dates and times may change, as they depend on the availability of the moderator.
