International Consortium for Health Outcomes Measurement (ICHOM) is the latest member to join our global network in ECHAlliance.

The International Consortium for Health Outcomes Measurement (ICHOM) is a non-profit organization founded by three esteemed institutions with the purpose to transform health care systems worldwide by measuring and reporting patient outcomes in a standardised way. ICHOM organizes global teams of physician leaders, outcomes researchers and patient advocates to define Patient-Centered Outcomes Measures of outcomes per medical condition, and then drives adoption to enable health care providers globally to compare, learn, and improve. Implementation support is provided via online resources, the ICHOM Accreditation Program and our events series including the annual ICHOM Conference.

ICHOM continues to organize global Working Groups to develop Sets of Patient-Centered Outcome Measures. Part of our mission is to also increase adoption and reporting of these measures worldwide. ICHOM achieves this through continued networking, our events program, ICHOM Connect – an online platform to bring together the VBHC Community; and by engaging with external organizations from government to patient groups to inform and gain support for patients everywhere. We have now completed over 40 Sets covering the world’s most burdensome conditions spanning: Cardiometabolic; Congenital Anomalies; Gastrointestinal; Infectious Disease; Life-Course; Maternal & Child Health; Mental Health; Musculoskeletal; Neurology; Oncology; Ophthalmological; and Renal, Urogenital.

ICHOM advocates for value-based healthcare and encourages the healthcare community to reach out and find out about the benefits of Patient-Reported Outcome Measures. Join our community of 25,000+ professionals from all over the world working on improving patient outcomes. Stakeholders can become involved by sponsoring a new Set, becoming a Partner to support health systems implement ICHOM Sets, express interest in joining one of our Working Groups, share work in patient outcomes or join us at the ICHOM Conference and network with like-minded professionals from international public and private healthcare sector organizations, as well as industry groups, patient representatives, payers and regulatory bodies.
