Introducing our new ecosystem: Turkish BUHASDER Health Ecosystem! A chat with the Ecosystem Coordinator

Berna Kocar, the project coordinator at BUHASDER, answered some questions about our first Turkish ecosystem. Welcome onboard BUHASDER Turkish Health Ecosystem!

Who are the key stakeholders?

With its large network consisting of medical professionals, researchers, academicians, teachers, statisticians and social scientists, BUHASDER is also well experienced in organizing conferences, seminars, face-to-face meetings and trainings. BUHASDER has strong connections with public and governmental organizations, municipalities and universities and it can easily reach out to at-risk populations.

Nevertheless, BUHASDER does not limit itself to the local level and expands its horizon with an international network through meetings and congresses jointly organized with various organizations from Poland, Russia, Romania, Italy, Croatia, Iran and African countries.

What are the main objectives of your ecosystems?

BUHASDER is dedicated to prevent and minimize the effects of infectious diseases. Along with its more than 300 members, our association is committed to informing the society and raising awareness through national and international collaborations.

Why did you join the ECHAlliance Network of Ecosystems?

Our main motivation is to open new horizons in brand new projects by enriching our existing network of institutions and organizations with which we are actively working, and with which we cooperate not only in Turkey but also in the main countries of Europe, Central Asia, and America.

Who is missing from your ecosystem in terms of stakeholders?

Our missing stakeholders are software developers , directors of social media and data scientists.

Which ecosystems are you looking to collaborate with?

We are interested in collaborating with any ecosystem counting on key Public Health Experts, Data Scientists, Clinicians, Academicians, Education Experts, Epidemiologists, Microbiologists, Medical Device Developers, Data Analysts and Statisticians.
