Europe’s rapidly ageing population means that better and more effective services ensuring the wellbeing of people cost-effectively, need to be developed. Digital services, the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, and robotics offer a growing number of opportunities for wellbeing and ac- tive living in rural and remote areas.
