It is 2 weeks since the Scottish Digital Health and Care Conference held in Glasgow on 20 & 21 November 2019.

We had fantastic attendance for our first 2-day conference with attendees from across: health, care, local authorities, voluntary sector, housing, education and supplier organisations.

Each day of the conference was co-chaired to demonstrate our commitment to working across sectors to deliver digitally enabled services.

Setting the scene for a cross-sector panel discussion which followed the Keynote on Day 1 and an

‘In Conversation’ session with the Co-Chairs, the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Sport and the COSLA Health and Social Care Representative on Day 2.

The importance of moving forward to implement good practice as standard was among the topics discussed.

These plenaries on Day 1 and Day 2 were webcast live to extend participation.

Webcasts are available here

The range of attendees at the conference grows each year and in addition to our Scottish & UK participants we were delighted to be joined by speakers and delegates from Italy, Spain, Israel, Ireland, USA, Norway, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany.

The Keynote presentations on Day 1 from Luisella Giani, EMEA Industry Transformation Director, Oracle and on Day 2 from Chris Yiu, Technology & Public Policy Executive Director, Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, gave us insights into the international perspective and, closer to home, the importance of related policy around digitally enabled services.

If you were unable to attend or, would like to share the morning plenary sessions thewebcasts from the morning plenaries on day 1 and day 2, the afternoon session: Delivering the National Digital Platform: Enhanced capability for staff and citizens on Day 2 and from the Public Lecture: Society, Community, Health and Wellbeing which was delivered by Sir Harry Burns, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Strathclyde and Chaired by Gillian Docherty, Chief Executive Officer, the Data Lab, are all now available as part of DigiFest 2019.
