Ain Aaviksoo, MD MPH is an expert in healthcare digitization and innovation with 25 years of experience. He currently works as a development manager and co-founder of the HeBA Clinic and consults internationally for companies and governments. Dr. Aaviksoo also leads the consent service working group in the ITU global project GovStack. Previously, he has worked as the Chief Medical Officer of the cyber security company Guardtime, the Undersecretary for e-services and innovation at the Ministry of Social Affairs and the CEO of the Praxis think tank. Dr. Aaviksoo is a business development mentor for various companies and is socially active in the fields of sport for health and medical training.
Ain Aaviksoo obtained a medical degree (MD) from the University of Tartu and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Harvard University. He gives lectures on innovation and technology in health care at various universities in Estonia and elsewhere in Europe.
Dr. Aaviksoo has published more than 20 peer-reviewed articles and contributed to several book chapters on the topics of health policy and e-health, and he also regularly appears at international events as an invited keynote speaker on the topics of digital services and healthcare innovation.
