Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Brian has developed his career as a consultant, manager, and investor. He has worked and lived in the UK, US, and Hong Kong and has significant experience as a company director in a variety of sectors. He also acts as a Corporate Doctor, to help troubled companies emerge from financial or other difficulties and has founded some thirty-six start-ups, especially in the Health sector. As normal some didn’t work, some did ok, others he built and exited through a trade sale, and others he listed on Stock Exchanges.

He is currently providing strategic advice to Governments, International organizations, and companies on the challenges facing healthcare in general and specifically on the Connected Health opportunity. He created the ECHAlliance, a not-for-profit organization which connects Governments, Industry, Research Institutes, Health Services, Patient Groups, etc through a Global Network of Ecosystems. This has grown globally and is having a positive impact on citizens’ lives.

He is Chair and a Shareholder in a number of innovative companies and continues to invest in start-ups.
