K-HEALTHinAIR project represents a significant, multi-disciplinary effort to understand and improve Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) across Europe by combining scientific rigor, real-world data, and stakeholder engagement.
With a focus on vulnerable populations, diverse indoor environments, and practical solutions, we aim to close critical research and policy gaps that currently hinder effective IAQ management.
The 1st K-HEALTHinAIR webinar (featuring Panagiotis-Minos Chaslaridis, European Federation of Allergy and Airways Diseases Patients’ Associations (EFA), Leticia P. Saiz, Kveloce and Natalia Allegretti, ECHAlliance – The Global Health Connector) highlighted the profound health implications of indoor air pollution, the need for stronger regulations, and the promise of innovative technologies and collaborative frameworks to create healthier indoor spaces for all Europeans.
Highlights:
🏥 Special focus on vulnerable populations including children, elderly, and patients with chronic respiratory diseases.
💨 Indoor air pollution can be up to five times worse than outdoor air, posing significant health risks.
🧪 Advanced methodologies combine sensor data, clinical studies, AI modeling, and lab research for holistic understanding.
📊 K-HEALTHinAIR develops an open-access platforms for sharing data, insights, and policy recommendations.
🔬 Emerging technologies in monitoring and air purification are evaluated for real-world application and accessibility.
🏛️ Advocacy for stronger EU indoor air quality regulations and integration of health perspectives into building policies.
