The potential for members within the global community of ECHAlliance – The Global Health Connector

The potential for members within the global community of ECHAlliance – The Global Health Connector

Discover how we connect, convene, amplify, and accelerate in digital health across the globe.

ECHAlliance

Part of our work as a member organisation is to showcase how we can work with our members, what the benefits of membership are as well as also giving examples of where we actively connect, convene, amplify and accelerate.

Before going into more details about these it is important to know WHY we do this. Since the creation of ECHAlliance – The Global Health Connector we have been laser focused on connecting people who work in health and digital health together as I have seen that in my career in health and social care – getting on for 35 years now – people are not connected, they work often in silos, repeating similar mistakes; reinventing the wheel; failing to see the economic opportunities in their work and lastly not looking outside of their region or country and definitely not their continent.

We have built a network of over 1100 organisations that come together in ecosystems all over the world to facilitate that connection and collaboration: matching needs and solutions in areas such as mental health or diabetes. Bringing best practice and understanding the need as well as sharing mistakes – of which there are plenty and repeated in healthcare.

We connect

When I meet people I see potential dots in healthcare that need to be connected and by understanding and learning about one organisation – what it does, why and what it needs I am then able to connect it to others who either can help or even more often may need their services or solution.

We convene

We then often can bring people together – to convene them either within an ecosystem or one of our global events. There they can meet other members and connections and opportunities to pitch their needs, ideas or solutions. This will be usually on a specific theme or topic – such as Women’s Health or Sharing Data and involve other stakeholders who work in this area but again are not connected.

We amplify

With the size of our online community network, which includes 58,000+ followers, 20,000+ newsletter subscribers, 80+ Ecosystems across the globe and 1,100+ member organisations, we are also able to considerably amplify what our members do to a much wider audience. This can raise the awareness of what people do not only globally but increasingly we find more clearly within the same country. Again this also helps us do that first piece – connecting as we can often see opportunities from elsewhere that might be ideal.

We accelerate

Lastly with our network of ecosystems in over 80 locations we can then help to accelerate the adoption of solutions and services as this network is both a set of landing zones – each with a ready made set of networks and connections or an implementation network that offers companies a chance to repeat solutions from region to region and country to country as awareness grows. This is also true for our largest community of members – researchers and academic organisations where we can connect nearly 350 different research organisations with each other across the world in a global research network.

You know, when I meet a new organisation, I always want to know what they do, where, why and most importantly what they need. immediately I can start to see those dots and start to think where can we connect, convene, amplify and accelerate…and that is just the start.

Want to find out out what we can do together?  Then join us and lets make that start …!
