FUNDESALUD, a member of the Extremadura health ecosystem, is involved in the dRural European project, which is funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program.

dRural project is run by a consortium of 31 partners from 11 European countries. It will inject new chances for the development of European rural areas and communities. The project aims to co-develop and roll up a digital marketplace of services for people living in those areas, while creating jobs and opportunities for economic growth and quality of life improvement.

The project is working on the creation of service marketplaces in 3 European rural areas: Extremadura (Spain), Dubrovnik-Neretva County (Croatia) and Region Gelderland Midden (Netherlands).

In this sense, at the moment, there are two open calls for interest, both other countries and service providers in the Extremadura region (Spain).

On the one hand, a new call for Mirror Regions is now open. What does this mean? The project will select 4 more Regions from outside the consortium to come on board to replicate the dRural platforms. The selected dRural Mirror Regions will be supported by the consortium partners to build their own marketplace and implement their own simple and complex services. These regions will receive both technical support for deploying and customizing the dRural Platform and business support through business and ecosystem-building coaching.

Regions selected could get up to 120,000€ grant, Apply until 30/01/2024 at 17:00 CET.

On the other hand, in the Extremadura region (Spain) dRural will connect users in rural areas with providers in its area, offering a wide range of services that will boost economic growth and improve the quality of life of citizens.
A new open call for services is now open. Calls for innovative services in Extremadura will focus on health and social care, tourism, and business development services. They will be offered through the Marketplace. ¡Become a rural game-changer!

Simple services selected could get 5,000€ to provide their services in Extremadura.

Apply until 26/01/2024.
