The Basque Health Cluster was created in October 2010 by a group of local entrepreneurs who wanted to join forces. Ten years later, the cluster is the benchmark association for the bioscience and health sector in the Basque Country. It brings together organisations that develop products and services to improve people’s health and quality of life. Its main objective is to coordinate, represent, manage, promote and defend the common interests of our member companies.
The Basque Health Cluster currently has more than 110 associated entities, including companies (Start-ups, SMEs and large companies), Research and Investigation Centres, Assistance Centres and public administrations, being the entity that brings together the Biohealth ecosystem in the Basque Country.
The Basque Health Cluster includes the entire value chain of the sector, representing entities dedicated to the following verticals: Pharma and Dermo, Biotechnology, Medical Devices, In Vitro Diagnostic Medical Devices, Healthcare, E-Health, Services. It is responsible for ensuring not only the interests of all associates, but also the network and matchmaking between them, boosting the sector.
Taking into account the nature of both organizations, ECHAlliance and the Basque Health Cluster, the possible synergies and areas of collaboration that may arise between them and, also, with their respective associated entities, are extensive and of great interest and productivity for the positioning and growth of the health industry, both nationally and internationally.
The Basque Health Cluster is also interested in getting to know about events of interest. Synergies between associated entities (Development of benchmarking activities, development of projects and services, knowledge exchange, access to new markets and entities, etc. Exchange of knowledge, knowledge transfer, information, etc. Detection of new opportunities of interest for both organizations.
