Preventing and reducing obesity in children and young people.

The European Commission dedicates this year’s EU Health Award to initiatives of cities, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and schools that contributed or are contributing to a higher level of public health in the European Union through preventing and reducing obesity in children and young people. Practices submitted under this call must not have ended before 1 January 2016. These initiatives can be terminated or still be ongoing at the moment of the launch of the call for applications.

Applications may be submitted in any official language of the European Union. However, in order to facilitate assessment by the evaluators, an English translation should accompany the text if it was written in another EU official language. The submission form can be saved at any time of the process by clicking on “save as draft” on the right side of the submission page. By doing so, you will receive a notification email. Larger documents of over 1MB need to be uploaded in parts, each under 1MB in size. Once you have submitted your initiative, you will receive a confirmation email. If you encounter any issue during the process, please contact us.

Do not wait until the last day to submit your application as you may encounter some difficulties reducing the size of the requested pdf documents.

Before submitting, please check that you are not at any risk of being excluded for reasons which are clearly listed in the criteria section.

Please submit your initiative via their website.

Submission deadline: 13 May 2019 (morning) at 11.00 CET, Brussels time. No applications will be accepted after the deadline.
