Strata Health will work with partners to develop a proof-of-concept for a single-point-of-access to children and young people’s mental health services. This initiative aims to provide more accessible child and adolescent mental health and improve support for preventive and less intensive services. The ambition is to create the best social circumstances possible and improve the conditions in which people are born, grow, live, work and age.

Strata Health is pleased to announce a new partnership with NHS Western Isles to utilise Strata technology in the development of a proof-of-concept for a Single Point of Access (SPoA) that can be used for children and young people mental health services.

The Scottish Government Mental Health Strategy takes a health-promoting and preventative approach. It sets out a range of commitments around more accessible child and adolescent mental health and improving support for preventive and less intensive services (tiers 1 and 2 CAMHS) that tackle issues earlier. The ambition is to create the best social circumstances possible and improve the conditions in which people are born, grow, live, work and age.

Providing a single point of access and triage as a model will support both neurodevelopmental and Children and Young People wellbeing services.

The team at Strata Health is incredibly excited to be embarking on this critical proof-of-concept partnership, working together with Western Isles to take action to reduce mental health inequalities both as part of prevention and as part of service provision.
