Smart Senior Room facilitates orientation towards the health sector in Western Hungary, as an integral element of a 10-year strategy. It hosts social care related trainings for formal and informal caregivers, and enables research and prototype development actions.
There are 3 thematic domains – socializing, security and health monitoring of seniors in their homes. First large scale company involvement will take place during mid-February, where companies can explore potential application areas.
Currently 50 digital applications are available, from communication robots through telemetric data collection to sensor technology. The facility works in strong cooperation with the local digital innovation hub.
The next goal is to link the Smart Senior Room with similar initiatives from other ecosystems, to create an international network of know-how transfer and boost the potential of practical applications.
The official website of the project will be out soon – stay tuned!
