The Sligo University Hospital, in Ireland, has purchased ProWellness CDMS (Chronic Diseases Management System) cardiology module to support the care of patients with heart failure and other cardiac conditions.
This builds on the successful use of the ProWellness CDMS diabetes module in the Sligo University Hospital over the past several years, and also on experiences of the cardiac module in the Letterkenny University Hospital. With the deployment, the Sligo University Hospital and wider stakeholders in the community have leveraged the benefits of the CDMS system platform and its existing modules. Using the same platform for several chronic illnesses will enable seamless information sharing on patients with comorbidities and improve overall patient care and experience, as well as allow professionals to work more efficiently and improve information management.
The Sligo University Hospital (SUH) provides high-quality healthcare to the people of several regions in Ireland, namely Sligo, Leitrim, South Donegal and West Cavan. The hospital provides Acute Inpatient, Outpatient, and Day Services as well as Regional Specialty Services in Ophthalmology and Ear, Nose and Throat Services.
SUH has a Medical Academy with the National University of Ireland (NUI), Galway, which includes clinical rotations/education for medical students from NUI Galway on the Sligo University Hospital Campus.
