On Wednesday, November 8th, ARC Innovation (ARC) provided a timely update to its international partners, consisting of leading academic medical centers and other healthcare organizations, from across the globe.

ECHAlliance participated in the call since ARC, Sheba Medical Center’s innovation arm, is an ecosystem of ECHAlliance’s global network.

The presentation was on “The Challenging Role of Innovation in Crisis Management” and directly relates to the current war in Israel.  Prof. Eyal Zimlichman, Chief Innovation Officer and Chief Transformation Officer, started by giving an overview on the state of Sheba Medical Center (Sheba) during the conflict and then handed the virtual podium over to Dr. Avi Tsur. Dr. Tsur is Deputy Chief Transformation Officer; Director of the Women’s Health Innovation Center; and Director of Obstetrics and Gynecology Beyond (as part of Sheba’s virtual hospital), and he highlighted the various ways that the organization has involved startups and others in an effort to identify solutions to address pressing issues, such as rehabilitation needs at the hospital.  He also touched upon some of the innovative developments that are already underway at the hospital.
