Patient in Focus are looking to get more patients involved and therefore seeking Country Patient Managers in all countries in the world. Working with Patient in Focus means bringing our mission to your country, collaborating, brainstorming, and carrying out projects that will  benefit patients – all kinds of patients. The Country Patient Managers help initiate new projects in your country and perhaps globally, produce translations from English to local language, and assist in identifying patients who want to be part of this positive new wave. You would be our key contact in your country and hopefully very visible. Being part of our team means making a difference for patients.

Patient in Focus provides the opportunity to make a difference for yourself and others by being a voice with healthcare professionals, researchers, industry, academics etc. We do this through patient participation, counseling and a strong patient community. Where we can create life – changing purposes in the new life conditions such as the chronically ill and disabled, as well as maintain a form of active involvement in society and thereby increase the joy of life.

Patient in Focus is an international, nonprofit, disease neutral patient organization based in Europe. Built by patients for patients.

Patient in Focus improves the living conditions for patients through knowledge, tools and education so that patients can lead a quality of life despite illness and disability. We help other patients get involved with patient engagement, research etc. and thereby give the professionals the knowledge they lack while finding new self – confidence, drive, and purpose.

The patient organization is disease neutral because patients experience the same emotions and challenges across all diagnoses. Instead of diagnoses, we focus on patients wanting to find hope, happiness and quality of life.

Patient in Focus believes that patients can be (re – )activated into society and thereby eliminate depression, anxiety, lack of self – worth and comorbidities. By engaging patients in projects where their unique experiences, knowledge and perspectives can add value, we can gain new life purpose and satisfaction that we can provide something no one else can. Hence, we as patients will feel respected, worthy, heard, valued and happy – and perhaps meet some amazing new friends along the way.

To expand our reach and give to more patients, w e are currently looking for Country Patient Managers, who want to make a difference in their country of residence. Patients (or caregivers) who themselves know what it is like to live with chronic illness, pain and/or disability.

Working with Patient in Focus means bringing our mission to your country, collaborating, brainstorming, and carrying out projects that are going to benefit patients – all kinds of patients. With us, you are part of the team and will be heard and included.

The Country Patient Managers help initiate new projects in your country and perhaps globally, produce translations from English to local language, and assist in identifying patients who want to be part of this positive new wave. You would be our key contact in your country and hopefully very visible.

You will represent Patient in Focus locally and sometimes internationally and will be our go – to person when new projects, research or collaborations are formed or should be formed. There may be more than 1 person in each country so that we can help each other especially during disease activity.

You work from home and are active in – patient communities – preferably both locally and online. Flexible part – time hours and activity levels with understanding for unforeseen disease related occurrences.

We prefer someone who is very involved online (or willing to become very active), have great connections, and active on social media like LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram. Your local language and English are required but other languages can be helpful, too.

For all of our patient engagement projects we will try to negotiate a form of payment although we lead with the hope of making a difference. Most of the time we are successful but not always. We believe the patient should be respected and valued at the same level as all the other co – creators (doctors, scientists, researchers etc.) and this is best demonstrated by ensuring patients are paid something for their time and efforts. Furthermore, when patients are paid for their engagement, they tend to be more respected as the expert they are (because they know what it is like to be a patient). When possible, you will be compensated for project work as well.

It’s important that you have knowledge of web conferencing tools (mainly Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Google Meet). Patient in Focus uses Teams and email as our preferred means of communication.

Qualifications:

  • Marketing skills are desired but not a requirement.
  • Great communication skills and a keen sense of patient empathy is needed.
  • Patient passion is required.

Hours:

Your hours will be flexible and on a n as-needed basis. In addition, participation in monthly CPH meetings is mandatory.

Compensation:

We believe that your time should be compensated. As a nonprofit patient organization, Patient in Focus has very limited funds, however, we wish to provide you with a token of appreciation to cover some of your expenses like internet connection and telephone.

The annual amount is 200 EUR (or USD) and will be paid every 12 months.

Contracts:

To receive compensation, you must sign a 12-months contract , which will be paid at the end of the contract period. The contract will always start on the first (1) in a month.

To be part of the CPM team, you must complete the following documents , which include the Declaration of Consent , private contact information, and bank details.

If interested or know someone who would be a great fit in any country, please contact us on info@patientinfocus.org
