ECHAlliance and the European Institute for Innovation through Health Data organised a Virtual Roundtable on Wednesday 3rd September 2020 (13:00 – 16:30 CEST) under the topic Acceptance Criteria for Societal Trust in the Use of Health Data.
With the sponsorship of J&J and Microsoft, this event is branded under the Digital Health Society (DHS) and follows on from the DHS Summit held in Helsinki, in December 2020.
The DigitalHealthEurope Project collaborated in this initiative, namely supporting the moderation of the Breakout session 3: Transparency & Trust about data use and value.
Chaired by Bleddyn Rees, with the support of Carina Dantas, the main topics discussed concerned the needs to demonstrate health or societal value of data sharing, earning citizen trust and promote further research regarding the citizen perspective on data sharing.
Key elements such as literacy, transparency, consent forms or data altruism were debated and thoroughly discussed by the nearly 30 invitees that constituted this roundtable event.
A written summary of this event will be soon produced and disseminated.
