We connect key stakeholders to drive growth and elevate Montenegro’s regional, European, and global innovation profile. We support startups from registration to technological development, financing, and mentoring, and we build bridges to investors and innovation partners in the United States and Europe.

Digital Den portfolio:

Our industry agnostic, versatile portfolio with more than 25 startups is ranging from concepts to fully-functional prototypes with paying customers; encompasses a wide range of products from wearable devices, fintech solutions, gaming studios to CSR and social platforms, immersive technologies, medical industry based software, emotional intelligence platforms and sustainability/ecological solutions.

Digital Den has provided pre-seed investments totaling €4.4 million to 16 of its startups.

Montenegro Technology and Startup Bridge (MTSB)

The MTSB is a State Department-supported program since 2021 which functions as a bridge, connecting the emerging startup landscape in the Western Balkans with well-established startup communities in eight designated areas across the United States where Digital Den has opened its corners– Phoenix, Arizona; Denver, Colorado; Austin, Texas; Portland, Maine; Chicago, Illinois; Nashville, Tennessee, Delaware and New York.

The MTSB project is divided into two parts: the Soft Landing and Acceleration Programs.

Through the Soft Landing Program, we provide a tailored and focused experience to at least three mature startups each year. Our ultimate goal is to help these startups establish a strong presence in the U.S. market, potentially opening subsidiaries and achieving a significant milestone for the entire Western Balkans, Montenegro, and the Digital Den community.

On the other hand, the seven selected startups—finalists from Digital Den’s pre-acceleration program—participate in the Acceleration Program in the USA. This program covers idea validation, market development, business strategies, go-to-market plans, growth, production, and capital fundraising, culminating in the Funded House event at the SXSW conference in Austin.

MTSB Europe

MTSB Europe is our new flagship program launching in 2025. It is designed to attract the most promising startups by focusing on the Benelux region (Netherlands, Luxembourg, Belgium), providing participants with essential know-how, access to investment opportunities, and invaluable peer-to-peer learning experiences.

DD partners

Digital Den has a broad network of partners at the local, regional, and international levels, including key stakeholders from the startup ecosystem, investment funds, corporate partners, and innovation hubs. Additionally, Digital Den has 12 experienced external advisors consisting of entrepreneurs, investors, and industry experts from the USA and Europe who provide strategic guidance and mentorship, helping us drive the growth and success of our startups.
