PULSE: consortium meeting and 1st pilot site launching in Barcelona!
Horizon 2020

The consortium of PULSE project (Participatory Urban Living for Sustainable Environments) has met in Belgrade on 4 and 5th of May in order to progress the development of its solutions for health and wellbeing in 5 major cities: Barcelona, New-York, Singapore, Birmingham and Paris. It has been the opportunity to discuss both technical aspects of the PULSE solutions (app for citizens, serious games, content for managing asthma and diabetes, data analytics and dashboards for policy-makers…) and to finalise the preparation of the experimentation phase.

By the way, in May 2018, Barcelona will be the 1st PULSE pilot site to be launched. The Public Health Agency of Barcelona (ASPB) is launching the global project “Salut las Carrers” related with the city council strategy around “SuperBlocks” (see article from the Guardian). The citizens will be offered to download the mobile app “PulsAir”. Developed as a citizen-science project, the participants will be asked to collect and share their personal data, in order to assess the health and wellbeing in 2 neighbourhoods and then build on these data models in order to define future public policies.
