Introduction

Part of the Veterans’ Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund, the Positive Pathways programme will award fixed grants of £35,000 for projects developed by and for veterans. Projects should aim to improve veterans’ mental health and wellbeing by getting veterans out and active.

You can find out more about the projects awarded in earlier round of this programme below.TAKE ME TO THE AWARDS PAGE

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply, your organisation must be an Armed-Forces-supporting charity or CIC.

Under this programme, we cannot support:

  • charities or CICs that do not primarily support Armed Forces veterans
  • a brand new charity or CIC with no track record of supporting this community
  • local authorities, schools or other public sector organisations – though you may be able to act as a partner organisation
  • organisations that are not a registered charity or CIC
  • individuals
  • partnerships or social enterprises – though you may be able to act as a partner to a lead organisation.

A full list of eligibility is available in the programme guidance below. If you have received an award from an earlier round of Positive Pathways, there are additional eligibility criteria, so please do read the guidance carefully.

What’s available?

Fixed, one-year grants of £35,000.

Themes and priorities

Projects should have a clearly identified activity for veterans to take part in. We don’t expect to fund applications that are unable to describe a planned activity, or describe a list of potential activities that may take place.

We’d like to clearly see how veterans will benefit from the projects we support and your project should come under one of four themes.

  • Sports
  • Arts and culture
  • Getting outside
  • Heritage

Deadlines and dates to note

This programme will remain open until noon on 30 November 2020.

To be considered in round 4, you’ll need to have your application in by noon on 25 August and can expect to receive your decision by the end of November 2020.

To be considered in round 5, you’ll need to have your application in by noon on 30 November and can expect to receive your decision by the end of February 2021.
