The European Connected Health Alliance (ECHAlliance) and Africa Health Business (AHB) are pleased to announce they have entered into a partnership to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and digital health practices between Europe and Africa to deliver targeted digital solutions to the COVID-19 crisis and beyond.

The pandemic triggered an unprecedented demand for digital technology solutions in the healthcare sector, with a huge potential for scaling up to deliver even greater impact beyond COVID-19. The partnership between AHB and ECHAlliance is uniquely complimentary. By working together, we will unlock the full potential of digital solutions and drive far more impact in the healthcare space said Dr Amit N. Thakker, Executive Chairman at Africa Health Business

Brian O’Connor, Chair at ECHAlliance said, The digital transformation of healthcare presents new opportunities for the achievement of universal health coverage (UHC) and the global health community recognizes the private sector plays a critical role. The strategic and innovative use of digital, cutting-edge technologies are an essential factor towards enabling equitable access to healthcare, ensuring better protection from health emergencies such as COVID-19 and allowing people to enjoy better health and well-being.
