Member News

The Faculty of Remote, Rural and Humanitarian Healthcare (FRRHH) is currently in its Development Phase and this is expected to continue until 2024. As the next part of our development, we are delighted to announce that we are establishing an Interim Faculty Advisory Board (FAB) to support and advise FRRHH. This Interim FAB will support our Executive Committee by providing advice, guidance and views on key matters relevant to the development of the Faculty and in relation to wider professional issues in remote, rural and humanitarian healthcare.

The membership of the Interim FAB is intended to be reflective of the diversity of the remote, rural and humanitarian team. We are therefore seeking expressions of interest from a wide range of individuals across different healthcare professions, career grades and geographical locations. We welcome interest from those working in both clinical and non-clinical roles (the latter may include e.g. technology and innovation, research, operations, HR, finance) that are relevant to the development of remote, rural and humanitarian healthcare.

Our Interim FAB will be led by two Co-Chairs appointed by the Executive Committee, Sir Lewis Ritchie and Dr Alistair Fraser. Both have been closely involved and influential in the development of the Faculty since its inception and, between them, they bring an incredible range of experience and expertise to bear.
