St. Claraspital in Basel, Switzerland have switched to TRITEMP™ non-contact thermometer in their ICU ward. By doing so they have saved money, saved nurses time, improved patient comfort and removed a source of infection as they no longer need to touch the patient when taking temperatures. Temperatures are taken daily on every patient, in every ward, in every hospital across the globe. Therefore, having a robust and easy to use device is of paramount importance. Additionally, non-contact thermometers require no plastic probe covers, so the environmental benefit is clear.
