Our organization stresses health equity especially concerning black women’s health. We work on advocacy, education and mentoring. Develop research collaboratives to address inequities, develop solutions and/or answer new questions.

The New Jersey Black Women Physicians Association (NJBWPA) is a nonprofit organization and network of Black women physicians dedicated to advocacy and the elimination of healthcare disparities within communities of colour and other vulnerable populations. We form partnerships within the community to provide mentorship, education and healthcare navigation. Our goal is to impact health equity.

Our organization commits to the following values to guide our behavior and helps to deliver our mission – Integrity, Teamwork, Respect, Trust & Innovation. We see a community where everyone has a right and opportunity to realize their best health potential.

Our organization stresses health equity especially concerning black women’s health. We work on advocacy, education and mentoring. Develop research collaboratives to address inequities, develop solutions and/or answer new questions.

We are developing a maternal health curriculum for utilization in developing countries. Along with this will be development of a teach the teacher curriculum. Will utilize e-teaching. We would like assistance with the continued development with increased network or partnerships.
