In the last five years, we and our partner I~HD have organised eight virtual Round Tables to help shape the development of the European Health Data Space (EHDS) and responsible health AI use.
You can read the eight published reports with our recommendations [here].
We are delighted to announce that there will be three new Round Tables over the next nine months, with a focus on EHDS implementation and AI. We are grateful for the continued support of Johnson & Johnson and Microsoft, and, for the first time this year, of IQVIA. Round Table 9 will explore how to ensure representative and high-quality data access for AI healthcare research and commercial uses, beginning in September.
A key feature of these Round Tables is their multi-stakeholder involvement, helping to build consensus and practical solutions to long-standing challenges. Stakeholders include academics, clinicians, industry leaders, patient representatives, regional and national Health Ministries, regulators, researchers, and policy makers.
We will be convening the next multi-stakeholder Round Table shortly, stay tuned for the published report later in 2025.
