The framework will evolve and will complement all relevant policies, strategies and programmes. This will include the Ireland Wales Shared Statement and Action Plan and the 2021 to 2027 Interreg programmes.

Further information is available in the Irish Sea Framework guidance.

International Research and Innovation

Horizon Europe is the largest ever transnational programme supporting research and innovation. Run by the European Commission until 2027, it has a budget of €100bn.

The EU is formalising the UK’s participation into the programme, but UK organisations are still eligible to take part. If association is not achieved, there are proposed alternative UK programmes.

Further information and how to apply can be found on the Horizon Europe page.

For more information email HorizonEurope@gov.wales.
